Cultural Resistance and Liberation: California Central Valley Immigrants Building a Social Justice Movement

Continuing with their learning journey on Saturday, August 16, 2014 Tamejavi fellows will participate in a Decolonization workshop led by Dr. Gaspar Rivera Salgado. The place of the workshop will be the San Joaquin River parkway in Fresno. This workshop aims at providing fellows and members of their learning groups a space for engaging in a deep analysis of the complexities of community and movement building in intercultural contexts such as California Central Valley as well as well as of the social and political systems that have shaped immigrants share stories of social and cultural oppression.
