EVENT: From Our Roots/Desde Nuestras Raices

From our Roots/Desde Nuestras Raices, is a digital story that brings viewers inside the process of immigrants’ integration and the cultural conflicts they encounter in such processes. The story is told from the perspective of first and second generation immigrants in the Central Valley who share their journey, leaving behind their roots and struggling to find a place of dignity and respect in the United States.

The stories were produced by the Pan Valley Institute of the American Friends Service Committee and the Participatory Action Research (PAR) Team.

  1. This event looks great. Plan to take my family there if the weather is good since I have small children. Since it is film event, what are the ages that we can take to see the film? Is this only in English or bilingual. I am interested to bring some more people who do not speak English to involve as well. Please let me know.
